The Closure of Prisons (H.M. Prison Haslar) Order 2002

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 37 of the Prison Act 1952( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Closure of Prisons (H.M. Prison Haslar) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 8th February 2002.

2. The prison known as H.M. Prison Haslar and situate in the county of Hampshire shall close on the coming into force of this Order.
