Education (Pupil Information) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 408 of the Education Act 1996( 1 ), and after consulting those persons with whom consultation appeared to him to be desirable in accordance with section 408(5) of that Act, the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Pupil Information) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 7th May 2003.

Amendment

2.The Education (Pupil Information) (England) Regulations 2000( 2 ) shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of these Regulations.

3. In paragraph (1)(d) of regulation 10, for the word “over” there shall be substituted “who cease to be of”.

4. In Schedule 1–

(a) in paragraph 1(3), for the words “in “Spelling” and” there shall be substituted “or NC tests”;

(b) in paragraph 2(3), after the words “level of attainment” there shall be inserted “in the attainment”; and

(c) in paragraph 3(2), after the words “level in” there shall be inserted ““Reading” and “Writing” and”.

5. In Schedule 2–

(a) paragraph 1(1)(c) shall be omitted; and

(b) in paragraph 3(1), after the words “level in” there shall be inserted ““Reading” and “Writing” and”.

6. In Schedule 3–

(a) in paragraph 1(2)(a), after the words “NC tasks” there shall be inserted “or NC tests”; and

(b) in paragraphs 3(3), 3(5) and 3(6), before the word “shown” there shall be inserted “, “Reading” and “Writing””.

7. In Schedule 5–

(a) the word “, Spelling”, wherever it appears shall be omitted;

(b) in paragraph 3(3)(a), after the word “Schedule” there shall be inserted “save for “Speaking and listening””; and

(c) in paragraphs 3(5)(a), 3(5)(b) and 4(2)(f), before the word ““English”” there shall be inserted ““Reading”, “Writing”,”.
