The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by Section 10 of the Highways Act 1980( 1 ) and now vested in him( 2 ) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf.

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the A14/U3124 Trimley Entry Slip Road (Levington Link Road) Trunking Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st May 2003.

(2) In this Order, all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.

2. The length of highway described in the Schedule to this Order shall become trunk road from the date when this Order comes into force.

3. The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan numbered HA 65/02/85 marked “The A14/U3124 Trimley Entry Slip Road Trunk Road Trunking Order”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the Records Management Branch, Ashdown House, St Leonards-on-Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA.

THE SCHEDULE Length of Highway Becoming Trunk Road

The length of highway becoming trunk road is “The A14/U3124 Trimley Entry Slip Road”, 20 metres west of the centre line of the A14/U3124 Junction at Trimley St Martin in the County of Suffolk to a point where it joins the A14 westbound main carriageway, in a north-westerly direction, a distance of 527 metres.
