The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 113(1)(b), 114(1)(b), 115(1)(b) and 116(1)(b) of the Police Act 1997( 1 ), hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) (Amendment No. 4) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 1st July 2003.

Amendment to the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) Regulations 2002

2. For regulation 4 of the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) Regulations 2002( 2 ) there is substituted—

Fees for criminal record certificates

4. The fee payable in relation to an application for the issue of a criminal record certificate is hereby prescribed as £24 save that no fee is payable in relation to an application made by a volunteer.

Fees for enhanced criminal record certificates

4A. The fee payable in relation to an application for the issue of an enhanced criminal record certificate is hereby prescribed as £29 save that no fee is payable in relation to an application made by a volunteer. .
