The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 10 of the Highways Act 1980( 1 ) and now vested in him( 2 ), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:

(2) In this Order, all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.

2. The length of highway described in the Schedule to this Order shall become a trunk road from the date when this Order comes into force.

SCHEDULE LENGTH OF HIGHWAY BECOMING A TRUNK ROAD

The length of highway becoming a trunk road is:—

The Link Road from and including the roundabout on the north-east side of the M2 Motorway Junction 2 at Strood in the county of Kent, to its junction with the A228 Rochester Road, a distance of 0.68 kilometres.
