The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 207(5) and (9) of the Greater London Authority Act 1999( 1 ) and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Transport for London (Reserved Services) (London Underground Limited) Exception Order 2003 and shall come into force on 15th July 2003.
2. In this Order “the Act” means the Greater London Authority Act 1999.
3. There shall be excepted from section 207(2) of the Act any agreement—
(a) under which an outside contractor is to provide, or secure the provision of, reserved services in respect of any public service for the carriage of passengers by railway which is under the control of London Underground Limited; and
(b) to which London Underground Limited was a party immediately before the date on which this Order is made.
4. In section 207(7) of the Act, in the definition of “station operating function”, paragraph (f) shall be omitted.
