The Employment Act 2002 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2003

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 55(2) of the Employment Act 2002( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Employment Act 2002 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2003.

(2) In this Order, any reference to a numbered section or Schedule is a reference to the section or Schedule bearing that number in the Employment Act 2002.

Appointed day

2. The day appointed for the coming into force of —

(a) section 49; and

(b) paragraphs 9, 10, 15, and paragraph 8 so far as it relates to those paragraphs, 51 and 55 of Schedule 7, and section 53 so far as it relates to those paragraphs,

shall be 5th July 2003.
