The Health Act 1999 (Commencement No. 13) Order 2003

3rd July 2003

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 67(1) and (2) of the Health Act 1999( 1 ), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Health Act 1999 (Commencement No. 13) Order 2003.

(2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Health Act 1999 .

Appointed day

2. 9th July 2003 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 60(3) of the Act in so far as it relates to—

(a) sections 6, 7, 9(3) and (4) and 13 of the Professions Supplementary to Medicine Act 1960; and

(b) in Schedule 5 to the Act, the repeals relating to the provisions specified in paragraph (a) of this article.
