The Secretary of State for Transport, with the consent of the Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 56(1) and (2) of the Finance Act 1973( 1 ) and the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988( 2 ), and in exercise of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 11th August 2003.
Increases in fees
2. —(1)The International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (Fees) Regulations 1988( 3 ) shall be amended as follows.
(2) In the regulations specified in column (1) of the Table below for the amounts specified in column (2) substitute the amounts specified in column (3).

Amendment of regulation 8(3) (cancellation of appointments)
3. In regulation 8(3), for “the fee payable by him in respect of the application for the ADR certificate shall be £2.50 and the balance of any sum tendered under regulation 7 shall be returned” substitute “any sum paid by him in respect of the application for the ADR certificate shall be returned”.
