The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 5(1) of the Extradition Act 1989( 1 ), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows—

1. This Order may be cited as the Extradition (Designated Commonwealth Countries) (Amendment) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 19th August 2003.

2. The Extradition (Designated Commonwealth Countries) Order 1991 ( 2 ) is amended by removing “South Africa” from Schedule 1 to that Order which lists countries designated for the purposes of section 1(2) of the Extradition Act 1989 .

3. The Extradition (Designated Commonwealth Countries) Order 1991 (Amendment) Order 1996( 3 ) is hereby revoked.
