The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval and Approval Marks) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2003

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 61(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Act 1988( 1 ), and the powers conferred by section 56(1) and (2) of the Finance Act 1973( 2 ) with the consent of the Treasury, and of powers conferred by the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988( 3 ) and section 128 of the Finance Act 1990( 4 ) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and in relation to the exercise of the powers conferred by section 61(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Act 1988, after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with the provisions of section 195(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Commencement and citation
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval and Approval Marks) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 1st October 2003.
Amendment of the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval and Approval Marks) (Fees) Regulations 1999
2. —(1)The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval and Approval Marks) (Fees) Regulations 1999( 5 ) shall be amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 3(2)—
(a) in the definition of “Framework Directive”, the word “and”, where it appears before “
(b) at the end of that definition, there shall be added “and 2001/116/EC”( 6 ).
(3) In the regulation specified in the first column of the table below, for the fee specified opposite that regulation in the second column, there shall be substituted the fee specified opposite that regulation in the third column.
