The Royal Air Force Terms of Service (Amendment) Regulations 2003

The Defence Council, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 2 of the Armed Forces Act 1966( 1 ), hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and Commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Royal Air Force Terms of Service (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 1st October 2003.

Amendment to the Regulations

2. —(1) The Royal Air Force Terms of Service Regulations 1985( 2 ) shall be amended in accordance with the following provision of this regulation.

(2) In regulation 15(1) (continuance in service), for the words “12 months” there shall be substituted the words “three years (or in the case of a person in air force service on 1st October 2003 who at that date has not already given notice under this paragraph, such shorter period as at that date remains)”.
