The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by paragraphs 3(1), 20(1) and (3) and 23(1) of Schedule 7 to the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act 2000( 1 ) and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after agreement by organisations appearing to him to be representative of the authorities concerned that consultations should not be undertaken( 2 ) and after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it( 3 ), hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and Commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit (State Pension Credit and Miscellaneous Amendments) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 5th October 2003.
Amendment of the Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit (State Pension Credit and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2003
2. In regulation 5(3) of the Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit (State Pension Credit and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2003( 4 ), in inserted paragraph (7C), for the words from “paragraph 4 of Schedule 7” to the end of that paragraph, substitute “section 9 or 10 of the 1998 Act or on an appeal under section 12 of that Act.”.
