The M62 Motorway (City of Liverpool) (Speed Limit) Regulations 2003

The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the powers conferred by section 17(2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984( 1 ), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 134(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the M62 Motorway (City of Liverpool) (Speed Limit) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 10th November 2003.

Imposition of speed limit

2. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour on a length of the westbound carriageway of the M62 Motorway from the boundary of the City of Liverpool to a point 985 metres west of that boundary.
