The Burma (Sale, Supply and Export of Goods) (Penalties) (Amendment) Regulations 2003

The Secretary of State, being a Minister designated( 1 ), for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972( 2 ) in relation to measures relating to the interruption or reduction in part or completely, of economic relations with one or more countries which are not Member States, in exercise of powers conferred on her by that section, hereby makes the following Regulations.

1. โ€”(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Burma (Sale, Supply and Export of Goods) (Penalties) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 17th November 2003.

(2) In these Regulations โ€œthe principal Regulationsโ€ mean the Burma (Sale, Supply and Export of Goods) (Penalties) Regulations 2000( 3 ).

2. โ€”(1) The principal Regulations shall be amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 2(a), after the words โ€œArticle 1โ€, there shall be inserted the words โ€œor Article 1aโ€.

(3) In regulation 2(b), after the words โ€œArticle 1โ€, there shall be inserted the words โ€œor Article 1aโ€.
