The Secretary of State, being a Minister designated( 1 ) for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972( 2 ) in relation to measures relating to advanced television services, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by that section, hereby makes the following Regulations—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Advanced Television Services (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 17th November 2003.

2. In the definition of “wide-screen television service” in regulation 3 of the Advanced Television Services Regulations 2003 ( 3 ), for “height-width ratio” there shall be substituted “width-height ratio”.
