The Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993 (Qualifying Judicial Offices) (Amendment) Order 2003

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 1(8) of the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993( 1 ), makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993 (Qualifying Judicial Offices) (Amendment) Order 2003 and comes into force on 8th December 2003.

2. In Part 2 of Schedule 1 (offices which may be qualifying judicial offices) to the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993β€”

(a) in the entry relating to a member of a panel constituted under section 6(1) of the Social Security Act 1998, omit the words after β€œSocial Security Act 1998”; and

(b) in the entry relating to a member of a panel constituted under Article 7(1) of the Social Security (Northern Ireland) Order 1998( 2 ), omit the words after β€œSocial Security (Northern Ireland) Order 1998”.

3. The Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993 (Certain Qualifying Judicial Offices) (Amendment) Order 2002( 3 ) shall be revoked.
