The National Police Records (Recordable Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2003

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 27(4) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984( 1 ), hereby makes the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Police Records (Recordable Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 1st December 2003.

2. —(1) The Schedule to the National Police Records (Recordable Offences) Regulations 2000( 2 ) shall be amended as follows.

(2) For paragraph 5 there shall be substituted—

5. section 167 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 ( 3 ) (offence of touting for hire car services); .

(3) Paragraphs 26 and 51 shall be omitted.

(4) For paragraph 27 there shall be substituted—

27. article 44 of the Nursing and Midwifery Order 2001 ( 4 ) (offence of falsely claiming a professional qualification etc. ); .

(5) There shall be inserted at the end the following new paragraphs—

53. section 3 of the Vagrancy Act 1824 ( 5 ) (offence of begging); and

54. section 4 of the Vagrancy Act 1824 ( 6 ) (offence of persistent begging).
