The National Health Service Reform and Health Care Professions Act 2002 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2003

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 42(3) of the National Health Service Reform and Health Care Professions Act 2002( 1 ) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby makes the following Order:—
Citation and interpretation
1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the National Health Service Reform and Health Care Professions Act 2002 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2003.
(2) In this Order “the Act” means the National Health Service Reform and Health Care Professions Act 2002.
Appointed day
2. 1st December 2003 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 22 of the Act (abolition of Community Health Councils in England), in so far as it is not already in force( 2 ).

Section 22(5) was commenced by section 42(3) of the Act so far as it conferred power to make an order under that section.
