The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2(9) and (10) of the Extradition Act 2003( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Extradition Act 2003 (Part 1 Designated Authorities) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st January 2004.

2. The National Criminal Intelligence Service and the Crown Agent of the Crown Office are hereby designated for the purposes of Part 1 of the Extradition Act 2003.
