The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 30, 31 and 37(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971( 1 ), after consultation in accordance with section 31(3) of that Act with the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Licence Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 1st April 2003.

Amendment of the Misuse of Drugs (Licence Fees) Regulations 1986

2. —(1) Regulation 3(1) of the Misuse of Drugs (Licence Fees) Regulations 1986( 2 ) shall be amended as follows.

(2) In sub-paragraph (a) for “£522” there shall be substituted “£186”.

(3) In sub-paragraph (b), for “£348” there shall be substituted “£124”.

(4) In sub-paragraph (c), for “£174” there shall be substituted “£62”.

(5) In sub-paragraph (d), for “£174” there shall be substituted “£62”.

(6) In sub-paragraph (e), for “£87” there shall be substituted “£31”.

Revocation of Regulations

3. The Regulations specified in the Schedule to these Regulations are hereby revoked.
