The State Pension Credit Act 2002 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2003

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 22(3) of the State Pension Credit Act 2002( 1 ), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the State Pension Credit Act 2002 (Commencement No.4) Order 2003.

(2) In this Order, references to sections and Schedules are, unless the context otherwise requires, to sections of, and Schedules to, the State Pension Credit Act 2002.

Appointed day

2. The day appointed for the coming into force of—

(a) section 11 (in so far as it is not already in force) in relation to paragraphs 1 to 7, 10 and 12 of Schedule 1; and

(b) section 21 and Schedule 3 to the extent that they repeal the provisions specified in the Schedule to this Order,

is 7 th April 2003.

SCHEDULE REPEALS SPECIFIED IN SCHEDULE 3 WHICH ARE COMMENCED BY THIS ORDER

Social Security Act 1998( 2 ).

In section 2(2), the word “or” immediately preceding paragraph (h).

In section 11(3), in the definition of “current legislation”, the word “and” in the second place where it occurs.

In section 28(3), the word “or” immediately preceding paragraph (e).
