Present,

The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 735(1) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1894( 1 ), and in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by section 315(2) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995( 2 ), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Confirmation of Legislation and Repeals) (Jersey) Order 2004, and shall come into force on 1 st June 2004.

2. The Shipping (Jersey) Law 2002 adopted by the States of Jersey on 6 th December 2001 is hereby confirmed.

3. The repeal by section 314(1) of and Schedule 12 to the Merchant Shipping Act 1995 of the Merchant Shipping (Registration, etc ) Act 1993( 3 ) is hereby extended to the Bailiwick of Jersey.

4. The Orders listed in the Schedule to this Order are revoked insofar only as they apply to the Bailiwick of Jersey.
