The Army, Air Force and Naval Discipline Acts (Continuation) Order 2004

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 10th day of June 2004

Present,

The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 1(2) of the Armed Forces Act 2001( 1 ), is pleased, by and with the advice of her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Army, Air Force and Naval Discipline Acts (Continuation) Order 2004.

2. The Army Act 1955( 2 ), the Air Force Act 1955( 3 ) and the Naval Discipline Act 1957( 4 ) shall continue in force for a period of twelve months beginning on the day immediately following 31st August 2004 (which is the date on which those Acts would otherwise expire).
