The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 4(5) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000( 1 ) hereby makes the following Order:

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Freedom of Information (Removal of References to Public Authorities) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 29th June 2004.

(2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

2. The entries relating to the bodies and offices listed in Schedule 1 to this Order shall be removed from Part VI of Schedule 1 to the Act.

3. The entries relating to the bodies and offices listed in Schedule 2 to this Order shall be removed from Part VII of Schedule 1 to the Act.
