The Exclusion Order (Monitoring of Offenders) Order 2004

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 40A(6) and 160(5)(a) of the Powers of Criminal Courts (Sentencing) Act 2000( 1 ) hereby makes the following Order:

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Exclusion Order (Monitoring of Offenders) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 2 nd September 2004.

(2) In this Order “police area” has the meaning given by section 1 of the Police Act 1996 ( 2 ).

2. The description of the person responsible for monitoring the whereabouts of an offender subject to an exclusion order for the purposes of section 40A(6) of the Powers of Criminal Courts (Sentencing) Act 2000

(a) in relation to such an order imposed on an offender residing in the police areas of—

(i) Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Dyfed Powys, Essex, Gwent, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, North Wales, Nottinghamshire, South Wales, Staffordshire, Suffolk, Warwickshire, West Mercia, West Midlands; or

(ii) the City of London police area, or metropolitan police district,

is hereby specified as one employed to monitor offenders by Premier Monitoring Services Limited, Berkshire Court, Western Road, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 1RE;

(b) in relation to such an order imposed on an offender residing in the police areas of Cheshire, Cleveland, Cumbria, Durham, Greater Manchester, Humberside, Lancashire, Merseyside, Northumbria, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, or West Yorkshire is hereby specified as one employed to monitor offenders by Securicor Justice Services Limited, Sutton Park, 15 Carshalton Road, Sutton, Surrey SML 4LD; and

(c) in relation to such an order imposed on an offender residing in the police areas of Avon and Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley, or Wiltshire is hereby specified as one employed to monitor offenders by Reliance Secure Task Management Limited, Boundary House, Cricketfield Road, Uxbridge, Middlesex UB8 1QG.
