The Energy Act 2004 (Designation of System Operator) Order 2004

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred on her by section 141 of, and paragraph 21 of Schedule 18 to, the Energy Act 2004, ( 1 ) hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Energy Act 2004 (Designation of System Operator) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 1st September 2004.

Designation

2. The Secretary of State designates National Grid Company plc (company registered no. 2366977) as the system operator for the purposes of Schedule 18 to the Energy Act 2004.
