The First Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 95, 96 and 123 of the Local Government Act 2003( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Best Value Authorities) (Power to Trade) (England) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 27th October 2004.

Amendment of the Local Government (Best Value Authorities) (Power to Trade) (England) Order 2004

2.The Local Government (Best Value Authorities) (Power to Trade) (England) Order 2004( 2 ) is amended, in the Schedule (fire and rescue authorities to which article 4 applies and services that may be provided for a commercial purpose), in the entry for Essex Fire Authority, by the insertion in column 2 ofโ€”

โ€œ (10) Vehicle maintenance and repair. โ€ .
