The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 84(4) of the Energy Act 2004 ( 1 ) is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:–

1. This Order may be cited as the Renewable Energy Zone (Designation of Area) Order 2004, and shall come into force on 15 November 2004.

The rights to which section 84 of the Energy Act 2004 (exploitation of areas outside the territorial sea for energy production) applies shall be exercisable in those areas of the sea specified in the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution)(Limits) Regulations 1996 ( 2 ).
