TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

The Employment Act 2002 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2004

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by sections 55(2) and (3) of the Employment Act 2002( 1 ) hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Employment Act 2002 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2004.

(2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Employment Act 2002.

Commencement

2. The day appointed for the coming into force of –

(a) paragraph 47(3) of Schedule 7 and section 53 of the Act so far as it relates to that paragraph; and

(b) in Schedule 8 of the Act (repeals), the entries relating to the Employment Rights Act 1996( 2 ), the Employment Rights (Dispute Resolution) Act 1998( 3 ) and the Employment Relations Act 1999( 4 ) and section 54 so far as it relates to that Schedule,

shall be 1st November 2004.
