In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 64(4) and 68(3) of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999( 1 ), the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999 (Commencement No.9) Order 2004.

Appointed day

2. The day appointed for the coming into force of section 29 of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999 (examination of witnesses through intermediary) is 23rd February 2004.
