The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 61(3)(a) and (c) of the Supreme Court Act 1981( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the High Court (Distribution of Business) Order 2004 and comes into force on 21st January 2005.

2. All proceedings in the High Court under sections 6 and 8 of the Gender Recognition Act 2004( 2 ) are assigned to the Family Division.

3. In paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to the Supreme Court Act 1981 after sub-paragraph (h), insertβ€”

β€œ (i) all proceedings under sections 6 and 8 of the Gender Recognition Act 2004. ”
