PREVENTION AND SUPPRESSION OF TERRORISM

The Terrorism Act 2000 (Continuance of Part VII) Order 2004

Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before Parliament under section 123(4)(f) of the Terrorism Act 2000( 1 ), and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 112(2)(a) and (b) of the Terrorism Act 2000, the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Terrorism Act 2000 (Continuance of Part VII) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 19th February 2004.

2. —(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the provisions of Part VII of the Terrorism Act 2000 which are in force on 18th February 2004( 2 ) shall continue in force for the period beginning with 19th February 2004 and ending with 18th February 2005.

(2)Section 97(3) of the Terrorism Act 2000 shall cease to have effect.
