The Social Security Administration (Fraud) Act 1997 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2004

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 25(1) and (2) of the Social Security Administration (Fraud) Act 1997( 1 ) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Security Administration (Fraud) Act 1997 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2004.

Appointed Day

2. The day appointed for the coming into force of section 3 (authorities administering housing benefit and council tax benefit) of the Social Security Administration (Fraud) Act 1997, in so far as it inserts section 122E(3) and (4) into the Social Security Administration Act 1992( 2 ), is 2nd March 2004.
