Asylum Support (Interim Provisions) (Amendment) Regulations 2004

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by paragraph 15 of Schedule 9 to the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999( 1 ) and having regard to the definition of “prescribed” in section 167(1) of that Act, makes the following Regulations—

Title and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Asylum Support (Interim Provisions) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 4th April 2004.

Extension of the interim period in the Asylum Support (Interim Provisions) Regulations 1999

2. In regulation 2(5) of the Asylum Support (Interim Provisions) Regulations 1999 ( 2 ), for the words “5th April 2004” there is substituted “4th April 2005”.
