Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Access to Justice Act 1999( 1 ), and now vested in him( 2 ), makes the following Regulations:

(a) in paragraph (1), at the end insert—

;

(i) Legal Help or Legal Representation for a person who is subject to a control order, consisting of advice in connection with that order, help with an application to the Secretary of State under section 7(1) of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 ( 4 ) , or representation in control order proceedings ;

(b) in paragraph (2), after the definition of “Central Authority”, insert—

“control order” and “control order proceedings” have the same meanings as in the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005; .
