Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Access to Justice Act 1999( 1 ), and now vested in him( 2 ), makes the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Community Legal Service (Financial) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force forthwith.

2. In regulation 3 of the Community Legal Service (Financial) Regulations 2000( 3 )–

(a) in paragraph (1), at the end insert—

“ ;

(i) Legal Help or Legal Representation for a person who is subject to a control order, consisting of advice in connection with that order, help with an application to the Secretary of State under section 7(1) of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 ( 4 ) , or representation in control order proceedings ” ;

(b) in paragraph (2), after the definition of “Central Authority”, insert—

“ “control order” and “control order proceedings” have the same meanings as in the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005; ” .
