The Railways Act 2005 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2005

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 60(2) of the Railways Act 2005( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Railways Act 2005 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2005.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Railways Act 2005.

Commencement

2. —(1) The provisions of the Act specified in Schedule 1 to this Order shall come into force on 8 th June 2005.

(2) The provisions of the Act specified in Schedule 2 to this Order shall come into force on 26 th June 2005.
