Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Railways Act 2005 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2005.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Railways Act 2005 .

Commencement

2. —(1) The provisions of the Act specified in Schedule 1 to this Order shall come into force on 8 ^th June 2005.

(2) The provisions of the Act specified in Schedule 2 to this Order shall come into force on 26 ^th June 2005.

SCHEDULE 1 PROVISIONS COMING INTO FORCE ON 8 ^TH JUNE 2005

• Section 1(1), in so far as it relates to the provision of Schedule 1 brought into force by this Schedule.

• Section 1(2).

• Section 1(3), except paragraph (e).

• Section 3(1), in so far as it relates to the other provisions of section 3 brought into force by this Schedule.
