LICENSING (LIQUOR)

The Airports Licensing (Liquor) Order 2005

Coming into force

20th July 2005

Whereas it appears to the Secretary of State for Transport that the airports specified in Schedule 1 are airports at which there is a substantial amount of international passenger traffic;

Whereas the Secretary of State is satisfied that arrangements have been made for affording reasonable facilities on licensed premises within the examination station approved for those airports under section 22 of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979( 1 ) for obtaining hot and cold beverages other than intoxicating liquor at all times when intoxicating liquor is available on those premises;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 87 of the Licensing Act 1964( 2 ), and now vested in him ( 3 ), the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Airports Licensing (Liquor) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 20th July 2005.

Section 87 of the Licensing Act 1964

2.Section 87 of the Licensing Act 1964 is hereby brought into operation at the airports specified in Schedule 1.

Revocation

3. The Orders specified in Schedule 2 are hereby revoked.
