Present,

The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 247 of the Local Government Act 1972( 1 ), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Armorial Bearings) (Wales) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 20th July 2005.

2. The armorial bearings which, immediately before 1st April l974, were borne and used by Ystradgynlais Rural District Council may be borne and used by Ystradgynlais Town Council, provided they have first been exemplified according to the laws of arms and recorded in the College of Arms.
