In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 79V of the Children Act 1989( 1 ), the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Day Care and Child Minding (Functions of Local Authorities: Information, Advice and Training) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 3rd October 2005.

National standards

2. For the Schedule to the Day Care and Child Minding (Functions of Local Authorities: Information, Advice and Training) (England) Regulations 2001( 2 ) there shall be substituted the Schedule to these Regulations.
