The Education Act 2002 (Commencement No. 6 and Transitional and Saving Provisions) (Amendment) Order 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 216(2), (4) and (5) of the Education Act 2002( 1 ), the Secretary of State for Education and Skills makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Education Act 2002 (Commencement No.6 and Transitional and Saving Provisions) (Amendment) Order 2005.

Amendment of Commencement No. 6 Order

2.The Education Act 2002 (Commencement No.6 and Transitional and Saving Provisions) Order 2003( 2 ) is amended as follows—

(a) in the Schedule insert a new paragraph 1A—

Communication in schools

1A. Despite the coming into force of section 38(2)(b) of the 2002 Act, the academic years in respect of which comparative statistics must be included in a report shall not include any year beginning before 1st August 2002 (so that the report in respect of 1st August 2003 to 31st July 2004 will include comparative statistics in respect of the preceding year only). ; and

(b) omit paragraph 2 of the Schedule (health hazards in FE institutions).
