The Railways Act 2005 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2005

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 60(2) of the Railways Act 2005( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and interpretation
1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Railways Act 2005 (Commencement No. 4) Order 2005.
(2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Railways Act 2005.
Commencement
2. —(1) The provisions of the Act specified in Schedule 1 to this Order shall come into force on 16th October 2005.
(2) The provisions of the Act specified in Schedule 2 to this Order shall come into force on 21st November 2005.

SCHEDULE 1 PROVISIONS COMING INTO FORCE ON 16TH OCTOBER 2005
Section 1(1), in so far as it relates to the provisions of Schedule 1 brought into force by this Schedule.
Section 3(6), in so far as the inserted subsection (3B) of section 4 of the Railways Act 1993( 2 ) relates to functions transferred or assigned to the Scottish Ministers under or by virtue of Part 1 of that Act.
