The Royal Patriotic Fund Corporation (Transfer of Property, Rights and Liabilities) Order 2005

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 6 of the Armed Forces (Pensions and Compensation) Act 2004( 1 ) makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Royal Patriotic Fund Corporation (Transfer of Property, Rights and Liabilities) Order 2005, and shall come into force on 1st January 2006.

Transfer

2. —(1) On 1st January 2006, the property, rights and liabilities (including rights and liabilities under a contract of employment) of the Royal Patriotic Fund Corporation shall be transferred to the RPFC, which is a charity ( 2 ) registered under the Charities Act 1993( 3 ) and established for the benefit of the persons falling within section 6(1)(a) and (b) of the Armed Forces (Pensions and Compensation) Act 2004.

(2) Immediately after the transfer referred to above, the Royal Patriotic Fund Corporation shall be dissolved.
