The Rail Vehicle Accessibility (Croydon Tramlink Class CR4000 Vehicles) Exemption (Amendment) Order 2005

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 47(1), (3) and (4) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995( 1 ), having consulted the Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee and such other persons as he considered appropriate in accordance with section 47(3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:

(2) After article 7 there shall be insertedβ€”

β€œ 7A The exemption given in respect of regulation 16(1)(c) shall cease with immediate effect if the operator of the exempted vehicles does not, by the end of 31st October 2005, notify the Secretary of State in writing that at least 12 of the exempted vehicles are compliant with the requirements of that regulation. ” .

(3) In article 9, for the words β€œ31st March 2005”, there shall be substituted β€œ31st December 2005”.
