The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 13 and 105 of the Local Government Act 2000( 1 ), hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation, commencement and application

1. β€”(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Authorities (Functions and Responsibilities) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 1st June 2005.

(2) These Regulations apply in relation to local authorities in England.

Amendment

2. β€”(1)The Local Authorities (Functions and Responsibilities) (England) Regulations 2000( 2 ) shall be amended as follows.

(2) In Schedule 1 (functions not to be the responsibility of an authority’s executive) there shall be inserted in paragraph I (miscellaneous functions), after item 47β€”

(a) in column (1)β€”

β€œ 47A. Powers relating to complaints about high hedges. ” ; and

(b) in column (2)β€”

β€œ Part 8 of the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003. ” .
