The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by paragraph 3 of Schedule 2 to the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994( 1 ) makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (Suspension of Custody Officer Certificate) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and shall come into force on 2nd May 2006.

Amendment of prescribed circumstances

2. In regulation (2)(a)(i) of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (Suspension of Custody Officer Certificate) Regulations 1998( 2 ) after “an allegation” insert the words “of misconduct”.
