The Al Trunk Road (Al (M), A614 and B6045 Junction Improvement Blyth) (Detrunking) Order 2006

1. This Order may be cited as the Al Trunk Road (Al (M), A614 and B6045 Junction Improvement Blyth) (Detrunking) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 2nd June 2006.
2. In this Orderβ
(a) βclassified roadβ as a classification for a highway, means that the highway is not a principal road for the purposes of enactments or instruments which refer to highways classified as principal roads but is a classified road for the purpose of every enactment and instrument which refers to highways classified by the Secretary of State and which does not specifically refer to their classification as principal roads;
(b) βthe planβ means the plan folio consisting of the key plan and the site plan, numbered βHA 10/MP/047β and titled βThe Al Trunk Road (Al (M), A614 and B6045 Junction Improvement Blyth) (Detrunking) Order 2006β signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport, ODPM-DfT Records Management Branch, Floor 13 (IMD), Ashdown House, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA;
(c) βthe new trunk roadβ means the new highway which the Secretary of State proposes to construct referred to in article 2 of the Al Trunk Road (A1(M), A614 and B6045 Junction Improvement Blyth) Order 2006( 3 ); and
(d) βthe trunk roadβ means the London to Edinburgh Trunk Road (A1).
3. The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies Nottinghamshire County Council that the new trunk road is open for traffic.

SCHEDULE LENGTH OF THE TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD
The length of the trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is situated at Hilltop roundabout (including circulatory carriageway) and is shown by broad black dashes on the plan.
