The Wormley Recreation Ground (Revocation of Parish Council Byelaws) Order 2006

It appears to the Secretary of State that the byelaws specified in article 2 of this Order have been substantially superseded by an instrument which applies to the area to which the byelaws apply.

Accordingly the Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 262(8)(d) of the Local Government Act 1972( 1 ).

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Wormley Recreation Ground (Revocation of Parish Council Byelaws) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 3rd July 2006.

Revocation

2. The byelaws made by Wormley Parish Council on 21st July 1924 with respect to the Wormley Recreation Ground are revoked.

The functions of the Secretary of State under section 262(8)(d) are, so far as exercisable in relation to Wales, transferred to the National Assembly for Wales by article 2 of the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672 ), to which there are amendments not relevant to this Order; see the entry in Schedule 1 of the Local Government Act 1972.
