The Traffic Signs (Amendment) Regulations 2006

The Secretary of State for Transport makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 64(1), (2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984( 1 ).

In accordance with section 134(2) of that Act he has consulted with such representative organisations as he thought fit.

Citation and Commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Traffic Signs (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and shall come into force on 21st August 2006.

Amendment of the Traffic Signs Regulations 2002

2. —(1)The Traffic Signs Regulations 2002( 2 ) shall be amended as follows.

(2) In Schedule 4 after diagram 883 there shall be inserted diagrams 884 and 885 set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

(3) In Schedule 17 in column (2) of item 4, after “883,” there shall be inserted “884, 885,”.

1984 c. 27 . Amendments relating to the exercise of powers under section 64 were made by S.I. 1999/672 , 1750 and 3143 .

( 2 )

Part 1 of S.I. 2002/3113 , to which there are amendments not relevant to these Regulations.
