The Civil Courts (Amendment No.2) Order 2006

Coming into force in accordance with article 1

The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1) of the County Courts Act 1984( 1 ).

In accordance with section 2(1) of the County Courts Act 1984 he has consulted the Lord Chief Justice before making the Order.

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Courts (Amendment No.2) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 30th November 2006.

Closure of Gravesend County Court

2. The Gravesend County Court shall cease to be held.

Amendments to the Civil Courts Order 1983

3.The Civil Courts Order 1983( 2 ) shall be amended as follows:–

(a) In Schedule 3 delete the entry in the first column relating to Gravesend County Court.
